Weary am I of all the phony-baloney shenanigans maneuvering souls to finding their purpose in life, in a country that harbors a strident mindset in square shaping the very essence of its multiculturality, swooping to a ruthless battle between plurality and monolithic standards.
Purpose without a healthy, rooted and established identity, strikes a pose, fidgeting to finding stability, yet falls victim to a derailed route without actual meaning and sustainability.
How can one find one’s purpose if one’s identity is rooted in communalism? How can one find one’s purpose when one’s identity is engulfed in a materialistic pursuit equaling the definition of their persona? How can one find one’s purpose if performance interlaces inner confidence, building their identity on moral promiscuity?
Are you a performance? Does performance DEFINE your worth and value? Well, settling one’s worth and value as a HUMAN BEING on performance equals building one’s identity on a fleeting foundation, like a castle of sand ever ready to being cast off!
Purpose acts like a vein transfusing blood to the heart. Purpose is the soul’s connection to life. Purpose is what has been breathed into YOU to secure a fulfilling life on a wholesome ground.
Yet, those same people who plant their identity in the colour of their skin, in their surname, in their social cast, in their social status, in their bank account, are those who DARE coach people about finding their IKIGAI!

Purpose is not prerogative! Purpose lies in the depths of who you truly are, at the very core of who you were born to becoming. No outliers, no performers, no braggers waltzing their brand car on the Mauritian roads, head lifted high, with overweening pride as though a collection of metal sheets running on tires make you who you are!
Vanity! Losing on sanity!
Knowing your Identity is vital to a healthy connectivity within, leading to a holistic unity, yet, with the current trend of purpose gurus streaming from alleys, it sets its foot on emotional debauchery, perverting the purpose of one’s purpose, meddling with the itinerary of your life.
Are you who you truly are? Or are you what people/society have instilled in/induced you to…?
The answer lies within you!
It takes adversity, inward glances, deep thinking, critical thinking and above all, a beautiful level of self-awareness, through emotional intelligence and all of these wrapped up in humility to reaching the core of who you truly are and even then, it’s all about those ingrained beliefs which demand to being deciphered, embraced, unlearnt and rebuilt!
Finding one’s purpose does NOT happen in some gooey microwave events and/or microwave workshops!
I sincerely, sincerely hope, YOU discover your TRUE SELF, without any societal add-ons, without any parental mental constructions, so you LIVE the LIFE you were truly meant to living, with AUTHENTIC purpose and meaning, by being, intrinsically, YOU!
