In the vastness of foreign lands, I yearn,
For the familiar embrace, my heart burns.
Missing the laughter, the shared embrace,
In nostalgia’s arms, finding solace and grace.
Oh, Mauritius, thou art a paradise so divine,
With palm-fringed beaches and sparkling sunshine, The blue lagoon hiding memories of sun-kissed days,
A paradise where happiness always stays.
Oh, Mauritius, thou art a paradise so divine,
A world of colours where cultures intertwine,
From Creole to Chinese, Indian to French,
A vibrant blend, a cultural quench.
At last, dawns the auspicious day,
For when I can see my people at the bay.
Mauritius my homeland,
Forever in my heart thou shall stand.
