Les Moulins de la Concorde Ltée, Maurilait Production Limitée et Oceanarium Mauritius Ltd ont conclu un partenariat pour mettre sur pied à Amaury une ferme photovoltaïque d’une capacité de 8 à 9 MW. Le site où se situera le projet se trouve dans le district de Rivière-du-Rempart. Le terrain qui appartient à Alteo Agri Ltd sera loué à bail à ce partenariat.
Cette ferme solaire, qui offrira de l’emploi à environ 75 personnes durant la phase de construction, est en ligne avec la politique déclarée du gouvernement visant à créer l’industrie de l’énergie verte avec l’élimination progressive de l’utilisation du charbon dans production de l’électricité d’ici à 2030.
La ferme photovoltaïque, qui sera construite sur un terrain 182 000 mètres carrés, aidera à réduire la dépendance du pays par rapport aux importations de combustibles fossiles et contribuera également à la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre dans l’atmosphère. La production d’énergie de cette ferme solaire alimentera en partie l’Amaury Substation du Central Electricity Board (CEB).
»The proposed project consists of Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of a Solar Photovoltaic Farm at Amaury of capacity 8.096MWac/9.89MWdc. (…) The Solar PV Plant shall consist of a Monitoring system, local SCADA and power generation forecasting system for the operations and maintenance. The Solar Photovoltaic Farm at Amaury will comprise of 17 056 monocrystalline Bifacial N-type panels. PV panels of rated capacity of 580 W will be used. The PV panels will be connected to string inverters. A total of 24 string inverters will be used for this project. The inverters will in turn be connected to a transformer to step up the voltage to 22 kV. Each transformer will be connected to the inverters. Electricity at 22 kV from the transformers will be injected to the Amaury substation. The total injection capacity will be capped at 8.096MWac », indique le document de projet.
