Queen Elizabeth has passed away. She was also the Patron of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. We met on June 8th 2004 when, thanks to a common friend, late Lord Richard Attenborough invited me to RADA’s 100th Anniversary… During the pre-lunch cocktail, at one time she was alone and I went to talk to ‘Mam’ as I called her… We spoke about Mauritius which she remembered she once visited… I mentioned that my mother had the same age as her and she asked how she was doing… Then, I complimented her on her nice yellow dress, she thanked me… A few days later, back home, we were watching news on tv, and there she was for ‘Marching of the Guards’ in front of Buckingham Palace, wearing the same yellow dress. Queen watchers remarked that it was the first time she had worn the same dress twice in a week. For the next 3 years, on her Birthday Wishes Card with a photograph of her to British Centenarians, she was in the same yellow dress. Was it a coincidence ?
