Every time I visited Africa; I liked the fantastic, diverse “breeding ground.”
For instance, when I came back to Dar El Salam from Bagamoyo Prison where the Britain British Empire held my grandfather, I was very impressed by how all the people went to the small villages at sunset to cook together – founding a sense of belonging.
In Johannesburg, I was stunned by the city’s many different ways of life, and where some boxes and hand-made tables are enough to create a good life in the street.
In Mauritius, it was hard to meet “the society”, among others, I guess because the coast is widely privatized.
For many years I have thought that I would love to contribute with my European and Southern American experiences to the creation of spaces in the African Union – for instance, design from building the Campus of Vienna University of Economics or the Vienna Compact City for people and small business. Now I feel that the time has come. The European Union is asking us all to invest together in education mobility and the environment to enable “good” development. GLOBAL GATEWAY is just waiting for the right entrepreneur politicians, and citizens to come together to step into a partnership to realize our dreams step by step.
I want to encourage you to realize that the future doesn’t just happen to us. In front of us, there are incredibly many POSSIBLE FUTURES waiting to decide where to pull the red carpet of YOUR PATH … The more people choose a path, the sooner it can be experienced.
Together with you, with enthusiastic enablers and others joining, I want to build kindergartens and schools and create spaces for living and doing business, where everyone can laugh and learn and live all day long, without conflicts and in harmony with the environment.
How can we start?
To know where we want to go, we must first understand where we are. For this, a top-class team of experts has developed the impact analysis of reality with an integral method that tells us: How do HAPPINESS, SAFETY, INNOVATION, PROFITABILITY, and CIRCULAR ECONOMY look in my/our existence.
With this method, which can easily be used within our software tool, URBAN MENUS, we build our first consensus about the existing “problems” and, even more important, that we want to address them together. So, let’s better call them “areas of improvement”.
Now we need a strategic plan to solve the problems to make real change. Together, we will enable a new balance between your ecosystem and your resources – revenue and social context.
