A city under clouds

A city under clouds

No sunlight kisses its paths.

A test to take where only a fool appears wise

To find the way out

And the one who thinks in despair and fights  a way

out struggles with sorrow on his breath,

In a city full of emptiness.

Standing on the edge of the abyss, suffering,

Thinking about the greener path, in grief.

Feeling like a prisoner trapped in a cell

searching for freedom in a sealed room

And then you see her…

Coming unasked, unwanted, undesired,

Like a coincidence only you see…

And understand.

And you smile.

And you observe.

And you breathe -faster and faster-

The sorrowful air invades you and your mind.

Then you realise that she too is looking for a way out,

Gasping for breath, enclosed in your scars

and wounds. Trapped for years.

Screaming painfully for help on the edge of the abyss

And when you cry in pain, she cries in pain.

And then she will take a phantom step

outside of her busted cage

Just to touch your scars, and…

You will scream beautifully.
